I love everything about this, I really don't know what else to say. It's engaging and atmospheric all at once.

WilsonMcLeish responds:

Thanks Man, I appreciate the positive feedback! I hope you continue to enjoy my future works.

This is okay in most respects, but I feel like the sound that comes in at 1.40ish is panned to the left far too much, and the sound choice in general could be a little better.

It makes me think of an old NES or SNES game, though, I nostalgia'd all over myself.

NeverHundred responds:

A got a lot of criticism in my audio class about panning. I'm kind of an all or nothing sort of guy when it comes to that. And you should know by now that I'm huge into the eighties and early nineties synth sounds.

As for that panned too far to the left the only advice I can give is flip your headphones around.

Interesting.

I'm not entirely sure what to think of this, to be honest.

The beginning sounds kind of like organized chaos, if you get what I mean.

The main melody from about :30+ is quite... whimsical, I like it, but maybe it could do with another synth layered over it. As it is, it sounds kind of dull.

I like the drums and sound choice, too. It all fits together really well.

GodBlock responds:

Hi there

It's very early in production so far, the beginning is what happened when I turned the bass line into another synth and just came out that way. I was really just playing about with drums on this and I liked the sound of them so I stuck any old bass line over them and tried to quickly wrap something up to release.

I'm glad you like the drums as that was really the point of this, I should be releasing another version soon most likely with a completely different bass line and a lot more production.

Glad you enjoyed it though and the review is very welcome thank you.

Edit : I've re-uploaded this now if you're remotely interested you can hear it here

Awesome.

This is easily on of the best things I've ever heard uploaded to the audio portal.

The drums are perfect, and the melody is fucking awesome. I kind of hoped it would have a more "epic" feeling ending, but I suppose it does it justice.

Couldn't possibly leave on a better note.

S-Rock responds:

!!! I didn't wanna leave but man. it gets to you after awhile of making music from the soul. Thanks for helping me stay in mind.

Don't see how this isn't Hip Hop...

Originality. This is nice. No criticism needed, as far as I can tell.

Should be the winner, in my opinion.

S-Rock responds:

Thank you for your honesty :D, I got 3rd though :/

Very interesting.

The bass flows nicely and keeps it interesting, and everything fits together nicely.

As Stickman said, there's definitely variety here.

The only real flaw I can point out, besides the looping error, is that everything seems way too loud. The bass overpowers the kick easily on my system, I have to listen closely to hear the drums outside of the hi-hats. I don't know if that's just me, or if it was intentional, or what, though.

NeverHundred responds:

If I can get my laptop in working order I'm sure I could straighten it all out.

INTERESTING

I like the drums on this a lot, for some reason. But it constantly sounds like it's lacking something. It changes up a lot, which is good and keeps it from getting boring, but there's also always just one or two different sounds in the melody playing at once.

You are great at coming up with interesting melodies, but perhaps you should try melding different melodies together, as well as changing them up as often as you have.

NeverHundred responds:

thanks. I know this song feels like it's missing something. And it's all over the place. But it's still better than some of my earlier stuff.

Hah.

I think this is great, actually. The vocals are hard to make out, though, so I don't know what the fuck everyone's complaining about. I can't even really hear the mother fucker.

I can't offer any criticism, because I really know nothing about the genre.

I still hate you, though, you prick.

FUNKbrs responds:

I feel as long as I've instilled hatred in your heart, I've done my part for the cause of Rock n Roll.

It occurs to me that we should have left more high end in his voice. The low end on the bass ended up coming out a lot more powerful than we'd expected.

Dammit Stickman.

Stop leaving good reviews, it leaves me with nothing to say.

Bastard.

What he said.

NeverHundred responds:

Eh, I didn't feel it was too repetitive. Different stuff happened.

Waaat

I don't really have much criticism for this.

Really, all I can say, is this would be absolutely perfect as menu music for any game, perhaps background music for some sort of side-scrolling game.

Nice job on this one, mister Anderson.

NeverHundred responds:

But how can you sing a song IF YOU DON'T HAVE A MOUTH!

I don't do anything here.
